LAST EDITED: Friday, April 27, 2001 7:10 PM

Step 1:

Firsts go to Insert > Scene, name the scene "Preloader" by going to Modify > Scene.

Step 2:

Open the inspector window: Windows > Inspector > Scene and drag the "Preloader" scene to be the first of all the scenes.

Step 3:

Now select the "Preloader" scene and make four key frames, separate them as you like.

Step 4:

This is the tricky part so read carefully. Select the first key frame, go to the Frame Properties and label the frame StartFrame. Select the second one, label it IfEndFrameLoaded. Select the third one and label it GoToStartFrame. Select the fourth one and label it StartMovie. Now go to the last scene and select the last key frame and label it EndFrame. Your final result should look like the one beneath.

Step 5:
Now you need to modify the actions of the keyframes ...

5a.)
·Leave the first keyframe as it is, there should be nothing on it but the label.

5b.)
·The second keyframe should contain the following actions in it:

·To make these actions: Double click on the keyframe, select the actions tab and click on the + sign. This should bring down a menu of actions. First select the If Frame is loaded action, in the scene option, select the name of you last scene. Then in the label menu, select EndFrame. Next select the Go To action and select the label option and chose StartMovie. Lastly select the End Frame Loaded action.

5c.)
     ·Third keyframe actions:

·To make these actions: Double click on the keyframe, select the actions tab and click on the + sign. Now select the Go To action. Select the Label check box and select the StartFrame label. Also, put a check in the Control check box.

5d.)
     ·Fourth keyframe actions:

·To make these actions: Double click on the keyframe, select the actions tab and click on the + sign. Now select the Go To action. Put a check in the Control check box. Substitute the "Play Scene" name with the name of the first scene of the rest of the movie.

5e.)
     · Last keyframe actions.

·To make these actions: Double click on the keyframe, select the actions tab and click on the + sign. This should bring down a menu of actions. First select the If Frame is loaded action, in the scene option, select the name of you the last scene. Then in the label menu, select EndFrame. Next select the Go To action and select the Preloader scene and in the label option chose StartMovie. Lastly select the End Frame Loaded action.
