How to specify which mail delivery system to use
If you're using Microsoft Exchange (included in Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.x) to send email, you can appreciate the ability to send mail to many different online services/mail delivery systems using a single common interface. However, specifying which mail delivery system (Internet, CompuServe, Microsoft Network, etc.) to use for a given address is not always easy using the default configuration.

Here's an easier way:

Specify the delivery system id followed by a colon (:) and the email address.

Delivery system prefix Type of system
COMPUSERVE: CompuServe
FAX: Fax system
MSN: Microsoft Network
SMTP: Internet

For example, to send an email using the Internet, use the "SMTP:<email address>" format.
