| If you're using Microsoft Exchange (included in
Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.x) to send email, you can appreciate the ability to send mail
to many different online services/mail delivery systems using a single common interface.
However, specifying which mail delivery system (Internet, CompuServe, Microsoft Network,
etc.) to use for a given address is not always easy using the default configuration. Here's
an easier way:
Specify the delivery system id followed by a colon (:) and the email
address.
| Delivery system prefix |
Type of system |
| COMPUSERVE: |
CompuServe |
| FAX: |
Fax system |
| MSN: |
Microsoft Network |
| SMTP: |
Internet |
For example, to send an email using the Internet, use the "SMTP:<email address>" format. |
